It was a bright sunny early June day for Nicola and Matt's wedding which paired perfectly with their bright colourful choice for flowers and their sunny personalities. They asked for a mixture of colours with a predominance of yellow in the popular loose garden style. Here are the bride's and bridesmaid bouquets.
A close up of the brides bouquet which included, yellow roses, spray roses, calla and craspedia, statis, hypericum, daisy style tanacetum, delphiniums, gyp and greenery. The blue wasn't a colour we had directly discussed but i took a punt with it as the delphiniums have the cottage garden feel and the blue looks so good against the yellow, and there were so blue outfits in the wedding party so it tied it all together nicely. The bouquets were wrapped with a rustic jute style ribbon
The ladies corsages which were done in colours to compliment their outfits.
The buttonholes for the men which were the bundled style, this works well for the garden style flowers rather than a single flower. they included rosemary, statis roses, craspedia and a calla for the groom. the stems were wrapped in brown paper covered wire for the twine look which tied in with the bouquets.
The church was decorated with these stunning (if I do say so myself) full flower pew ends. These had hessian pieces added to them to create the bow effect and kept the mix of flowers worked through out the wedding scheme.

The church was at West Keal which I have dressed before for a wedding but it was a number of years ago in December so it was nice to return to this venue at a different time of year.
Random fact this church is located on the top of a hill and I believe the door step is level with the top of the famous Boston stump which can be seen on a clear day from there. Just shows the change in land level between the wolds and the fens. Not all Lincolnshire is flat.
The venue was a new location for me,
scrivelsby walled garden a beautiful marquee in a private wall garden with open space for playing games and wild flowers and fruit trees for the country boho feel. Here is the top table arrangement. which sat pride of place in front of the happy couple.
A close up of the top table arrangement. Its rare that I get to produce wedding flowers with such a mix of colours and I was really pleased with how they turned out.
Nicola had been diligently saving glass jars to use for the table centers and had added twine to the tops which tied in lovely with the other rustic touches. These jars were placed in collections of three with a mix of flowers in them.

One other floral element of the reception venue was this unique bar, made out of rustic wooden crates which I filled with a mixture of flowers and plants. It was quite a large piece to do and I am very glad I had a reccy to see the bar in person and take some measurement before the event. The venue owners even refer to it as the beast.
A shot of the other side of the bar, continuing the floral theme in it worked well with the overall look Nicola and Matt were going for but it would also lend its self to being filled with a range of things. vintage china, photos, items connected to the coupled hobbies ect. I hope they found good uses for the plants after the event or shared them among the guests.
