Easter at Snapdragons

Thought I would just do a quick blog post about some of the extra little Easter bits we have available in the shop.

we have some of the always popular fluffy chicks this year we have a range of colors in including pink, white and the traditional yellow and they are 55p each.

 New this year we have these fun chickens on sticks, these are one sided designs on wood the body has a gingham pattern on it and is embellished with a felt wing. they are on quite long wooden sticks and are just £1 each.

Adding to our ever growing craft range we also have some Easter themed lavender bags these cute little gifts have a range of images including chicks, bunnies, eggs and flowers. These are a nice little token gift for someone (that maybe cant have chocolate.)  Only £2.50 each. we also have lots of other designs of lavender bags including farmyard designs which are also lovely for spring.





So pop by for all your Eastery bits the shop will be open as normal on Good Friday and Saturday we will be closed Easter Monday.
Also remember our belated sale is still on but only until Easter get your bargains now.

Belated January Sale

Because the shop was closed for January and February while the restoration work after the flood was carried out we missed having our usual post Christmas sale so we are having it now.

 As you can see by the pictures we have quite a range of items in the sale including silk flowers (many £1 a stem) and glittered ting bunches for just 50p each. We also have vases and containers, Christmas themed items.

 The shelves have been reorganizes so its easy to see how much things are many items 50p, £1 or £2 each. we also have half price on candles.

The window display is drawing alot of attention as people see which bargains they want. Items are going quite quick so pop in soon to get yours.
Sale will run till the end of the month.

Shop looking good for Mother's Day

So the wait is nearly over Mother's Day is nearly here still time to get your order in for delivery or collection. Thought I would pop up some photos of how the shop is looking.

The flower stand is looking good with a nice selection of different flowers and colors abit of something for everyone.

One of the point of sale areas displaying plants and arrangements ready to make someones mum feel super loved.

The other point of sale area just brimming with lovely gifts prices starting from as little as £3.99 for plants and £9.99 for flowers get one before they all go.

And don't forget we have all our craft items our lavender bags are proving very popular and at just £2.50 each its easy to see why. We also have our range of handmade cards and although I didn't get round to making "Mother's Day" ones why not choose something with abit of a different sentiment like Wonderful You, For You, Love You or just Thanks.

Demo for the WI

I did a lovely demo for the Skegness WI ladies this week. I do like doing demos and sharing a love of flowers with people. Its a good way to show skills and make people aware of the existence of the shop. Here's the arrangements I made.

 I started with a traditional arrangement creating the shape with greenery then placing the flowers. The focal line of cream roses and secondary flowers of iris.

I then moved on to a modern arrangement with an Easter theme flowers are grouped and the lilies give lovely structural height with the craspidia and fresh lotus seed heads being something abit unusual. Fluffy chicks and eggs are added to complete the Easter look.

The last thing I did was a gift wrapped plant. A little pot of narcissus went from being nothing too exciting to a lovely little gift. I particularly like the cello its wrapped in a new addition to our range.

New bags and picks now in.

We have a range of new bags and picks in just in time for Mothers Day (15th March)

The first set of bags are square hessian in lovely pastel shades of pink, green and purple they have a dotty pattern and the flower motif is actually a handy pocket to pop a message card in these are perfect for our popular gift bags of flowers (available for £15 each) or nice with a plant or other gift popped in.
On their own they are available for £2.30 each a very reasonable price for such a lovely item.

 

 Our second new set are again square hessian this time in a natural color with white trim and handles each one is decorated with a panel depicting either a sewing machine, penny farthing bike or roses. the panels are trimmed with lace. These are something abit different and have a wonderful vintage vibe. Again perfect for our gift bags of flowers, or a plant.
These are also available just as they are for £2.30 each.  

 Own final new set of bags is a restock of the popular handbag style one, I cute hessian bag with floral fabric trim and pocket and decorative buttons in either pink, blue or green. these are lovely for  mini hampers or gifts and are working well with our potted bulb ( £5.50 with bag) on their own the bags are available for £2.75 each.

We also have a new selection of picks in these are a lovely additions to bouquets, particularly hand-tieds or arrangements, plants or just tied to another gift. The first set have three different shapes, flower, heart and butter fly they are made of a rose patterned fabric with a slight padding and finished off with a taupe bow.

Our next set again have three different shapes butterfly , heart and bird. These are wooden with a quaint folksy embellishment in white and rustic raffia bow. These will look nice with cottagey natural looking flowers.I like the bird shape and is a nice change from the ever popular butterfly.

 our last new set are all butterflies in four different colors, white, taupe and two shades of pink. These are metal and have a small spring underneath to allow for some movement. These are perfect shades for mothers day and will be the finishing touch gracing many bouquets.

  Lovely items to welcome in spring and treat mum with this mothers's day.

Well I say spring these were the hail stones falling today.
